Media Psychology: researcher focusing on cognition of audio and music in media.

Research in progress:
1) cognition of structural chances in pop music (ICA Seattle 2014)
2) generative music in video games and flow
3) evolved vs symbolic communication and its affect on implicit attitudes
4) cognitive resource allocation to critical audible frequency bands

Once again, without jargon:
1) Depending on how well a person knows a song, do they have a different physical reaction to hearing a version of the song with most of the verses stripped out?
2) When the music soundtrack is composed unwittingly by the player while playing the game, does that make the game more enjoyable?
3) Is it easier to change someone's mind with PSAs that use language or by using "real" imagery and sounds?
4) Does the brain work harder when we hear frequencies that are associated with understanding speech or predator roars?
